A Piece of Cake Designs - January Releases Guest Designer

I've been a long time fan of Australian kit club A Piece of Cake Designs, owned by the very talented Raquel Bowman.

If you follow along with my blog you might remember I used APOCD's gorgeous October Main Cake Kit (which is on sale right now in the A Piece of Cake Designs store) in my Week 38 Project Life spread which was featured on the Papercut Labs blog.

I am so very excited to be joining the A Piece of Cake Designs team as a Guest Designer for their January releases, and I'm working with the scrumptious Cupcake Kit this month.  Think lovely vibrant colours of My Minds Eye Jubilee Tangerine collection with lots of woodgrain elements, cork pieces, two Double Scoop Gelato's and of course the exclusive APOCD flair buttons!

I can't wait to share my creations with you starting next week, but in the meantime be sure to check out the A Piece of Cake Designs blog for inspiration from the Designers using the January Main Cake Kit and Cupcake Kit.

Papercut Labs - Project Life Post

Hi friends, and Happy Australia Day!  I hope you can take some time out today to enjoy one or two of the things that make our country so fabulous.  Brent came across this Youtube video that I may have watched.. well... a 'few' times... it gets me feeling pretty patriotic and so thankful for our wonderful country!

And so it's fitting that on Australia Day my Project Life post for Papercut Labs features our trip to Australia's most iconic city Sydney in October last year.

Here's a sneak peak, and I'd love for you to pop on over to the Papercut Labs blog for the full post.

Thanks for visiting!

Our Wonderful Life

Hi there and Happy New Year!  I hope you had a wonderful festive season and are looking forward to the year ahead.

I'm dropping in quickly today to share a just for fun layout using the gorgeous Teresa Collins Nine & Co collection.  I'm not normally a fan of orange but I just love this collection!

This is my favourite photo from Christmas Day, of Kayci on the beach in the late afternoon.  I just went with a really simple design and added some layers and ephemera pieces as I went.

I trimmed the 'Our Life' ephemera piece in two so that I could slip in an extra word into my title.  The  sweet bicycle flair button is from My Minds Eye, Jubilee collection.  I fussy cut some leaves from one of the patterned papers and stitched them right on the page.

I still struggle with my handwritten journalling but it's something I want to do more of in 2015.  Does anyone else feel like that?  I'm thinking I'll look up some tutorials on how to make my writing neater, if you know of any good ones I'd love to hear what they are.

How sweet is the heart lace!?

It feels great to be creating again after a few weeks break over Christmas and holidays with my hubby and our family.    I'm so looking forward to what this year will bring both in the scrappy world and for our family.

Thanks for dropping in!
