Traveler's Notebook Spread | Live in Wonder

When it comes to traveler's notebooks I love that they are versatile enough to work with a clean and simple style, a mixed media style, or even to add cut files too.  And since I'm a fan of all three that works out pretty well for me!

Over the weekend I had this TN spread up on the Clique Kits blog that uses both mixed media and a cut file.  I've used the February Traveler's Notebook kit from Clique Kits and played with some watercolours to back a pretty floral cut file in the same colour palette as the ephemera on the page, which is from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection.

If you'd like to see the full layout you can find it here on the Clique Kits blog.

Pocket Pages | Studio Calico

So I still have a few weeks to fill in my 2018 album, and this is one of them - week 42 which is back in October.

I've used the Studio Calico Letters Home documenter kit for this spread, and added a 3x8 pocket that I sealed with my Fuse tool to create two 3x4 pockets.

My colour palette this week is more gentle with greys and sage greens, and pops of contrasting blacks which work so well with my photos for the week.

I recoloured one of my Studio Calico digital labels in photoshop, and added dates on my computer with a vintage typewriter font.  Then I used the stickers in the kit to record the week number above that.

I take so many photos in Snapchat but they totally don't work to fill a 3x4in pocket page.  So that I could use this entire photo in my weekly spread (our need for coffee is totally important to record right!?) I printed my photo at 3.5in high, which made it just over 2in wide. I added it to a 3x4 card and it left just a perfect amount of space for a little vertical journalling.  I love how this card turned out!

The reverse of my insert has a brighter palette, with some Jacaranda flowers and a beautiful green paddock from my cousin Heather's totally amazing country wedding ceremony.

I love these black and transparent ephemera pieces that came in the SC documenter kit this month.

I added some journalling on this ledger card, right justified the text and stamped my Heidi Swapp date stamp at the top.

And with that I called my layout done!  Love how this one turned out, especially with that cheeky photo of Lil after running through the sea foam on our beach.  She definitely needed a good bath that morning!
